I have searched perfectionist at the dictionary and the definition is “a person is displeased by anything that does not meet very high standards”. But I think this definition is not enough, because perfectionist is a more complex word.
ReplyDeleteThe perfectionists are people who have very positive things: they want the work well done, they try to finish the things they start, they put illusion in taking care of the details. These things are good for life but they also have negative things.
One of the things most difficult to learn is to be mistaken and not to come down, to know how to recognize an error without feeling terribly humiliated. I think We must learn to realize of which it is not a tragedy to be mistaken, since the human quality is not in not failing, but in knowing how to recover of those errors.
To prevail is, in certain way, to learn to fail. The success in the life comes from knowing how to confront the inevitable lack of success of living on every day. On this peculiar paradox it depends much in the success in living.
If this kind of people lifes with the obsession of all the things they do must be perfect it could be an illness. But if they can controle this impulse it can be a profit thing for their lives.
I would like take the positive things of the perfectionist people and refuse the negatives.
